Those who are familiar with her are startled to learn that she dabbled in the entertainment sector. Maine’s mother, Mary Ann, claimed in an interview that her daughter is bashful and that her mischief is normally held for her brothers.

Maine opens up about her background in her book, revealing that she was an uncomfortable youngster. She mentioned that when she was little, her family didn’t have much. She had to sleep with her siblings in the family’s lone room as a youngster.

Maine is the fourth of five siblings, with Nicolette Ann and Nicoleen Dyann as her older sisters, Nicolas Dynn as her older brother, and Nicodeim Dean as her youngest brother.

She was persuaded to join the entertainment profession by a representative from TAPE Inc., the television production firm behind the Philippines’ longest-running noontime variety program, Eat Bulaga!

She debuted on the program as Yaya Dub soon after, and then teamed up with Alden Richards as half of the incredible AlDub love team.

Maine Mendoza Productions 

Taking advantage of the popularity of the AlDub love team, Mendoza starred in her debut film, My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore, for which she won the Best Supporting Actress award at the 41st Metro Manila Film Festival. She appeared in the film Imagine You & Me the next year, for which she also composed and sung the theme song. Her second notable appearance was as a cop in Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles, a romantic action comedy film.

She also appeared in Mission Unstapabol: The Don Identity, a heist action comedy released in 2019. Critics praised Mendoza’s performance in the high-grossing picture Isa Pa (One More Time), With Feelings, in which she played a lady who fell in love with her deaf-mute sign language teacher.

Maine is interested and has arranged fundraisers to help a variety of charities, particularly those aimed at increasing educational opportunities for poor children.

She took part in a 2015 benefit performance for the ‘AlDub Library Project,’ which raised PhP 14 million ($277K) to promote reading among schoolchildren. Three years later, she organized an online garage sale to raise funds for the ‘AlDub Nation (ADN) Scholarship Drive,’ which helps deserving students.

Maine’s single Parang Kailan Lang (Seems Like Yesterday), featuring Gracenote, was released in March 2020.

She will continue her charity efforts on March 19, 2020, when she will start the DoNation campaign for Filipinos whose earning possibilities have been severely harmed by the COVID-19 epidemic. Beneficiaries will receive financial assistance in the form of GCash.

According to Mendoza’s Facebook page, the fundraising drive assisted 587 families as of March 25th, and an additional 916 homes from April 5th to April 19th.
