Bob Costas was born Robert Quinlan “Bob” Costas on March 22, 1952, in New York City’s Queens neighborhood. His mother’s name was Jayne Costas, and his father’s name was John George Costas, an electrical engineer. Valerie Costas is his sister’s name.
